Types of PTFE Seal
Our PTFE seals come in different shapes and sizes to suit specific applications. Here are some common PTFE seal shapes.

PTFE O-Rings
This is the most common type of PTFE seal. The O-rings design consists of a round, donut-shaped ring with a circular cross-section. PTFE O-rings are commonly used in various industries to create a tight seal between two mating surfaces or components.

PTFE Backup Rings
PTFE backup rings are used in conjunction with O-rings or other sealing elements to prevent extrusion or deformation under high-pressure conditions. They are commonly used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and rotary shaft seals.

PTFE V-Rings
PTFE V-ring also known as a V-seal or V-packing, the V-shaped lip dynamic conforms to various shaft and provides a effective sealing barrier. They are commonly used in rotary equipment such as pumps, mixers, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery.

PTFE Lip Seals
PTFE lip seals, also known as PTFE rotary shaft seals, are used to prevent leaking between rotating or reciprocating components. They have a metal or plastic case to hold the PTFE lip. They are commonly used in pumps, compressors and mixers equipment.

PTFE Gaskets
PTFE gaskets are circular, square, or rectangular shaped flat seals with a hole in the center. They are commonly used to create a static seal between two stationary surfaces, such as flanges or pipe connections and other static sealing applications.

Spring Energized PTFE Seals
The helical spring provides radial energization to the sealing element, ensuring intimate contact with the sealing surfaces. This design allows the seal to maintain effective sealing on irregular surfaces or under varying pressure and temperature.
Filled PTFE Seal
The fillers used in filled PTFE seals improve specific properties. Some common fillers include glass fibers, graphite and bronze.

Glass Filled PTFE Seal
The addition of glass fibers enhances the mechanical strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability of the seal. These seals are commonly used in applications involving high pressures, dynamic loads, and high-speed rotary applications.

Graphite Filled PTFE Seals
The addition of graphite provides improved thermal conductivity, self-lubrication, and excellent resistance to high temperatures and pressures. Graphite filled PTFE seals are often used in applications where there is a need for high-temperature sealing.

Bronze Filled PTFE Seals
This type of seal combines the excellent chemical resistance of PTFE with the added strength and improved thermal conductivity provided by the bronze filler. They can handle a wide range of temperatures and exhibit good resistance to wear and extrusion.
